Peer Democracy is suggested by the Swedish philosopher and systems scientist Peer Norbäck. He was the architect behind the first internet party to win a seat (Demoex, 2002-2014). That his surname coincides with the democracy form is a happy accident. The word means citizens as equals examining issues carefully together. Peer didn’t name it after himself; the concept named itself to share the word.”
WHAT VISION MOTIVATES PEER?
- A fair and democratic world where all global citizens have equal voting rights.
- A world where orchestrated climate action stabilizes global temperatures within safe limits.
- Smart innovations that fuel prosperity, while respecting the Earth’s ecosystems.
- A world where collaboration replaces polarization and armed conflicts are banned.
- AI that amplifies human potential and becomes an inseparable feature of us.
- A world in peace and harmony, driven by reason, knowledge, and shared responsibility.
IS IT POSSIBLE?
Yes, it is possible – if we come together to create something new. The Global Citizen Council (GCC) will be an institution that can enact binding international laws. This institution is designed to help the UN solve the global climate crisis. Peer Democracy makes it possible for citizens worldwide to engage in these decisions. This system leads to expert knowledge, respects diversity, and can not be manipulated by states, corporations, or other powerful stakeholders. It’s time to put the tools of change in the hands of the people.
LET’S CREATE THE VISION TOGETHER
To establish the Global Climate Council, we must take the first step. We need to organize a Global Referendum using a secure, decentralized app that everyone can download. There’s work to be done, and the sooner we act, the stronger our impact will be. Let’s come together, harness our collective wisdom, and build a future that works for everyone.
