Peer Democracy is suggested by the Swedish philosopher and systems scientist Peer Norbäck. He was the architect behind the first internet party to win a seat (Demoex, 2002-2014). That his first name coincides with “Peer Democracy” is a happy accident. “Equal Democracy” was occupied in a traditional context, and peers are equal persons working together.

WHAT MOTIVATES A PEER?

  • A fair and democratic world where all global citizens have equal voting rights.
  • A world where the climate threat is taken seriously.
  • Smart innovations that fuel prosperity, while respecting the Earth’s ecosystems.
  • A world where peer collaboration replaces polarization and armed conflicts are banned.
  • AI that amplifies human potential and improves our capabilities.
  • A world in peace, driven by reason, knowledge, and shared responsibility.

IS THIS POSSIBLE?

Yes, it is possible – if we come together to create something new. A Global Citizen Council (GCC) is an institution that can enact binding international laws. This institution aims to help the UN solve the global climate crisis. Peer Democracy enables citizens worldwide to engage in these decisions. It promotes expert knowledge, respects diversity, and can not be manipulated by states, corporations, or other powerful stakeholders.
