Transforming Ideas into Global Laws with Equal Democracy

Equal Democracy empowers individuals to transform ideas into proposals and the process to shape them into global laws. A chain of functions where people use smartphone technologies makes this possible. This main chain briefly outlines the steps from a newly proposed law to its final implementation.

In summary, for a proposal to become legislated, it needs early support (2). It must also pass the deliberation (3) and get a high priority (4) to move on. The next step is the debate (5) and the voting (6).

A proposal that is almost top-ranked (4) has two more attempts before it is retired. After the voting, the enactment is only provisional (7). To pass the whole process, the proposal must be tested in an experimental “sandbox mode” (8). Furthermore, the test evaluation (9) must be satisfying, according to measures developed in step (3). If this is the case, the real enactment (10) will happen, and the law will be implemented. Nonetheless, a sunset clause is active, and the law will be time-limited. After a period of time, it will be evaluated and granted again.

Equal Democracy transforms individual ideas into global actions through a structured, collaborative, and democratic process. The procedure is inspired by scientific research. Through this process, we hope that the wisdom of the crowds will shape the laws in our shared world. Join us in building a fairer, more inclusive future.
